CUSTOMER: COMFRC HQ Corporate Business Office (CBO)

SOLUTION: Project Execution Management (PEM) Application

Project Execution Management (PEM) Tool is a business application built in a combination of SharePoint, and .NET architectures, which supports the Corporate Business Office (CBO) efforts in the areas of Pre-Award, Post-Award, Reporting and Business Analytics/Metrics. The PEM application is a unique use of capabilities in that it comprises a complete integrated web-based transaction processing system for the CBO’s post-award processes, a pre-award tracking and project management system, and a prospective customer tracking system.

Integri developed PEM in support of existing CBO business processes and reporting needs. It was designed to provide a single point of data entry to populate the data views and reports necessary for day-to-day operations as well as contract, customer and management level reports, and dashboards. Integri worked closely with the CBO’s Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) customer to determine priority of requirements and acceptable resolutions in support of their implementation of PEM post-award, including specific JSF enhancements to PEM to improve user adoption.

SOLUTION: NAVAIR Depot Maintenance System (NDMS) Concept of Operations (CONOPS) Industrial Budget Analysis System (IBAS) Re-Architecture

IBAS is a cost control and analysis tool to support budget formulation and execution. IBAS captures, disseminates and executes both the Direct and Indirect Budgets of the respective Fleet Readiness Centers and provides this information in a clear and easily accessible format to Cost Center Managers and the Comptroller.

Integri identified and carefully evaluated the requirements for Re-Architecting the IBAS Application and integrating it into the NDMS CONOPS. We provided a successfully tested and operational re-architected IBAS software application with related documentation. We identified and reviewed requirements met by the existing systems, reviewed requests for expanded functionality, standardized the requirements, translated requirements into design specifications, and documented results in compliance with the NDMS Organization Standard Software Processes (OSSP).

SOLUTION: NDMS Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) Software Application

Integri prepared an engineering study for the NDMS Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) software application. The existing application was built using the CA AllFusion Case Tool. The major objective of the engineering study was to eliminate the support requirement for AllFusion Case Tool by understanding the processes supported by the tool and the format and flow of the code to mine relevant business rules to generate use cases.

We identified duplicated processes between ASRS and other deployed NDMS applications with the goal to eliminate duplication of feature/functions and integrate into existing tools and processes. We constructed relevant use cases for review by the IPT and proposed a two-phased approach to migrate ASRS as a fully integrated solution within CONOPs and MRO. This approach mitigated the Government’s risk and allowed for new feature/functions to be deployed into production faster.

SOLUTION: Quality Assurance Workbench

A web-based, online quality assurance processing system, NAVAIR Depot Maintenance System (NDMS) Quality Assurance Workbench (QAWB) (NDMS-QAWB) was migrated from an oracle forms architecture to J2EE to support the accuracy and thoroughness of quality assurance (QA) data collection, processing and reporting at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) Fleet Readiness Centers (FRC).

These operations may be performed within the FRC itself or at any point around the world. The NDMS-QAWB system provides additional required visibility into material analysis and tracking, as well as refined job accounting and reporting features for a variety of rework operations including repair, overhaul and conversion of aircraft, engines, components, as well as manufacturing and related equipment.

NDMS-QAWB has four major features that will be included in the initial release of the product:
  • Internal Defect Reporting System (IDRS)
  • Log Card Maintenance
  • Material Review Board (MRB) processing, disposition, cost and trend analysis
  • Maintain Quality Verification Codes on routers within MRP II
  • Online Reporting

SOLUTION: Industrial Production Support

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM or NAVAIR) Fleet Readiness Centers (FRC) perform a variety of rework operations including repair, overhaul and conversion of aircraft, engines, components, as well as manufacturing and related equipment. These operations may be performed within the FRC itself or at any point around the world.

The tools in the NAVAIR Depot Maintenance System (NDMS) Industrial Production Support (IPS) suite manage Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) owned inventory using a common stock approach as inventory is planned, purchased, stocked and issued. The NDMS-IPS suite of software tools are an integrated system for managing work on the shop floor, controlling inventory, and delivering parts required to complete the work.
CUSTOMER: U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOMM)

SOLUTION: Inventory Accuracy Management Tool

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center/Naval Depot (FISC/NADEP) Partnership Program, is a U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOMM) initiative aimed at improving material support by creating “total” supply support and optimizing the resources used to provide material support. This initiative seeks to re-align people, inventory and business processes across FISC and the NADEP communities in order to support material readiness and visibility goals.

The NAVAIR Depot Maintenance System-Inventory Accuracy Management Tool (NDMS-IAMT) system serves as an adjunct to the JDA Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII) System Networks MTO (NDMS-MTO (Make to Order)) in use at the FRCs (Fleet Readiness Centers). It provides the tools required to manage stockroom inventory accuracy by supporting 3 main types of inventory audits: Statistical Sampling, Wall-to-Wall Inventory and Location Audits.

SOLUTION: Material Productivity Tool – Procurement

Material Productivity Tool-Procurement (MPT-PRO) is a project that renames and reverse-engineers the Cold Fusion/Oracle application Airspeed MRP, into multiple JAVA Web Archive (WAR) files. MPT-PRO has been be developed as two modules: MPT-PRO Procurement Administration Module:
  • Provides the ability to tie Planner and Approver codes to a DN thereby granting requisition creation and approval capabilities
  • Provides the ability to administer ‘System Settings’ which includes the ability to turn on specific filters used in data selection criteria in MPT-PRO.(SCR 2008-009)
MPT-PRO Procurement Module:
  • Provides the ability to procure material if the user’s DN is tied to one or more Planner codes in the Administration module
  • Provides the ability to approve material if the user’s DN is tied to one or more Approver code levels in the Administration Module.
  • Provides the ability to view screens if a user’s DN does not correspond to a planner or approver.
  • An additional capability of the MPT-PRO tool is the requirements planning process that executes in batch via a Cron Job or similar scheduling utility. This feature is not accessible via a menu entry in CONOPS and will continue to be executed from a scheduled job. The data from the requirements planning process is used as input to the material procurement and approval process.
